Learn more about Jesus
Are you searching for meaning, purpose, and a deep sense of peace? In a world burdened by brokenness and sin, explore how Jesus offers forgiveness, restoration, and eternal life.
God Loves You
Here's some great news: God made you and he loves you. His love is unending and unconditional. God is real and he wants you to personally experience his love, and discover the purpose of your life through a relationship with him.
The Problem of Sin
People look everywhere for meaning and fulfillment, but they have the heart problem of sin. Sin damages your relationships with other people and with God. Everyone has sinned, and there are consequences because of our sin. Much like a modern-day courtroom, everyone who breaks the law must pay a penalty. The result – or the penalty - is eternal separation from God and the life he planned for you.
The Good News of Jesus
There is good news: sin doesn’t stop God from loving you! Because of his great love for you God became a human being in Jesus Christ and gave his life for you. At the cross Jesus took your place and paid the penalty of death you deserved for your sins. Jesus died but he rose to life again. Jesus offers you peace with God and a personal relationship with him. Through faith in Jesus you can experience God’s love, discover your purpose, and have eternal life after death.
- If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9–10)
- For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Will you trust Jesus?
God has already done everything to show you how much he loves you by sending Jesus into the world to rescue you from sin. Through a relationship with Jesus Christ he offers you fulfillment and eternal life. Will you trust Jesus?
Where do I start?
Start with a prayer! Praying is simply a conversation with God. If you haven't prayed before, one way to help you begin the conversation is to follow the ABCs of prayer:
Acknowledge that you're a sinner
Believe that Jesus paid for your sin on the cross
Confess that Jesus is the Son of God and commit your life to him.
Acknowledge that you're a sinner
Believe that Jesus paid for your sin on the cross
Confess that Jesus is the Son of God and commit your life to him.
What does it mean?
What does it mean to acknowledge, believe and confess? Why is that important? First of all, it doesn't mean that you know all the answers or that you'll get things perfect! It just means that you have come to the realization that you cannot save yourself. You have made a personal decision to believe the Gospel message that God sent his only Son Jesus to pay the penalty for your sin in order to forgive you and give you eternal life. It means that you confess your need for a Saviour and that you are turning away from your sin and despair and choosing instead to follow Christ. Once this transpires, you can rest in the knowledge that God has taken away your sin and you have now become His child!
What comes next?
If you have made a decision to follow Jesus, let us know! We'd love to pray for you and help you with following Jesus in the everyday moments of life. Once you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, there are many ways to begin to nurture your faith. We believe your first next step after accepting Jesus is to get baptised. Baptism is the outward expression of the inward commitment you made when accepting Jesus into your heart.
