KidsChurch: A Place to Belong, Grow, and Learn About Jesus

KidsChurch is a fun and engaging place on Sunday mornings where your kids can learn the Bible and understand more about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.
At KidsChurch, we partner with parents to create a welcoming, vibrant space where children connect, make friends, and experience God’s love. Our Sunday programs include:
On Sunday mornings we offer:
  • Nursery (newborn-23 months): A safe, nurturing environment where your little ones receive quality care while you worship.
  • Preschool to Grade 1 and Grades 2-5: Kids engage in large group Bible stories, worship, and fun activities. In small groups, caring teachers lead age-specific activities that reinforce the day’s lesson, helping children feel connected and grow in faith.

FAQs

Pre-registering your kids is a big help (click here to do that) but even if you don't, we will get you registered on a Sunday morning. When you arrive, drop by the kiosk in the main foyer and we will help get your kids checked into their program. Someone from the team will give you and your kids a tour of the KidsMin area and help get you settled.

Can my kids stay with me in the worship service instead?

Absolutely! Your kids should go wherever they will learn and grow best, so if they're a little shy to be in the classroom then you can certainly keep them in the service with you. We'd also encourage you to speak to Mike Sanders about what we can do to make your child's experience the best it can be at Calvary!

What is the requirement for training for KidsChurch leaders?

The safety of kids is SUPER important to us. We have a Best Practices program that keeps all of our leaders up to date on the latest in safety and security measure so that your kids are safe and happy in their programs. All leaders have regular Police Checks and Vulnerable Sector screenings, and are versed in our policies and procedures.

What if my child is crying and they need me during the service?

Great question! When you register you'll leave your mobile number, which is what we will use to text you if your child needs you during the service.

Sometimes it can take a few minutes to settle in to a new place (even for adults!) so that's why our general rule of thumb is to text the parent or caregiver after the child is unable to be comforted in 10 minutes. If you prefer to be called sooner or later than 10 minutes, just let us know when you arrive and we'll make sure your wishes are communicated.
