Groups

At Calvary, we’re all about helping people grow in faith and build real relationships. This fall, we’ve got two pathways designed to help you do just that—each with a slightly different feel, depending on what you’re looking for.

Both DGs and the Women’s Bible Study point us to Jesus and help us live out our faith—just in different ways. Not sure which one’s right for you? Let’s talk!
Discipleship Groups (DGs) are small groups (for both men and women) that meet weekly—mostly online, with a few hybrid options. They focus on Scripture, prayer, and accountability, and are built around long-term relationships and high commitment. If you’re already connected at Calvary and want to go deeper, this is a great fit. Group sizes are more limited just due to the nature of the studies. Click to learn more about DGs.

Women’s Bible Study is an in-person Wednesday night study is open to all women—whether you’re brand new or have been around for a while. We’ll meet for eight weeks starting Wednesday, September 17 at 7:00 pm studying the book "Encountering God" by Kelly Minter. Each week will feature teaching, discussion, and encouragement centred on God’s Word. It’s a great next step if you’re not currently in a DG but want to grow in community and Scripture. What is Disciple-Making?

Disciple-making is an intentional activity by a follower of Jesus Christ to encourage and teach others to know and faithfully follow Jesus Christ. It's done by every believer, and is not limited to a specific time or place, although we would view the Sunday worship service as a primary disciple-making opportunity.  Disciple-making is teaching, equipping and encouraging others around us to take a "step to the right" and grow in their spiritual journey. It is a call to our own spiritual transformation as we nurture the spiritual transformation of others.
