Digital Bulletin

Calvary Burlington is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds meet for worship, teaching, and to grow in our faith. Our hope is that you would find a place where people can see and experience the love of Jesus. That Calvary would be a church where people can be engaged in community, be evangelized through solid biblical teaching, respond to the Gospel and be established in the faith, and then be equipped to help others take a step to the right toward spiritual maturity. It's our prayer that in everything we do, we are living out our calling to be disciples who make disciples.

If you are looking to explore who Calvary is and what we believe, you may also want to check out our Events page, What We Believe, and our Groups section. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out via text (289-803-3530) or email (hello@calvaryburlington.ca)

WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING AT CALVARY BURLINGTON?

news for this weekend

Every day, we are shaped by the voices we listen to and the things we trust. But what will guide our decisions, our desires, and the way we live?

In Psalm 119:97–104, the psalmist shows us the wisdom, understanding, and direction that come from loving God’s Word. His truth helps us recognise what is right, turn away from what is wrong, and walk faithfully with him.

Join us this Sunday as we consider what it looks like to let God’s Word guide our lives.

If you plan to visit for the first time take a moment to check out our Plan Your Visit page and preregister your kids (click here).

Back to School Prayer Night

Before the backpacks are packed and the school year begins, we want to pause and pray. Join us on Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 pm as we begin the school year grounded in truth, covered in prayer, and trusting God to guide our families.

We’ll begin with snacks and a few simple family games, then spend time praying for our children, parents, friendships, teachers, homeschool families, and the year ahead.

Our children will face new experiences, pressures, decisions, and opportunities this year. We may not be able to walk into every classroom or be beside them in every moment, but we can entrust them to the God who is always with them.

Church Picnic September 12 at Bronte Creek

Our Church Picnic is coming up, and we’d love for you to join us. This really is for everyone: kids, teens, adults, seniors, families, singles, couples, and anyone else we missed! Bring your friends and family too.

Please sign up and let us know you’re coming: https://calvaryburlington.ca/picnic

Where: Bronte Creek Provincial Park
When: September 12 at 11:00 am

We’ll provide BBQ hamburgers and hotdogs, and we’re asking everyone to bring something to share: a side dish, salad, snack, or dessert. Homemade or store-bought is absolutely fine!

There will be lots to do throughout the day, including lawn games, the play barn, and an art table. Or bring a lawn chair, find some people to chat with, and enjoy an afternoon outside together.

A few things to know:
  • Once you register you’ll get the map to the site emailed to you.
  • Admission to Bronte Creek is approximately $14–$18 per vehicle, so carpool if you can.
  • If the cost of admission would make it difficult for you to attend, please don’t let that keep you home. Save your receipt and let us know.
  • Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket.
  • Bring your own beverages (appropriate beverages only please. Remember… Jesus is watching)
  • And definitely bring friends and family!

There’s something good about seeing each other outside our usual Sunday routines. We hope you’ll come eat, play, visit, and spend the day with your church family.

Become a church member

Church membership is an important part of growing as a believer. While anyone is welcome to attend a service and get involved in many capacities, church membership is a formal commitment to belong to the church and to grow in community as you worship and serve together. Find out more online, or ask for a membership packet with all the details.
