What Does the Bible Say About Hope? - Day 4 of 21 Days of Hope

Goal: Hope To You
Theme: Devotional
Difficulty: ⭐️ (1/10)

“I hope my team wins!”
“I hope the grocery store has what I’m looking for!”
“I hope I get to see my friends soon!”

 We toss around the word “hope” very lightly. But what does hope really mean?

Hope: To trust in, wait for, look for, or desire something or someone; or to expect something beneficial in the future.

Today's action step is intentionally simple. Spend a few minutes today thinking about the hope you have from God, in His word, and in His love. Here are a few Psalms you can meditate on:

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,

for my hope is from him. (Psalm 62:5)

You are my hiding place and my shield;

I hope in your word. (Psalm 119:114)

But the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him,

in those who hope in his steadfast love. (Psalm 147:11)

Leave us a comment and tell us which one of these or other Scripture is meaningful to you when it comes to the hope we have in God.
