Grace to Finish Well
After all the battles, heartbreak, and failure, David’s story draws to a close. In 2 Samuel 22–23, we hear his final words and a song of praise. It’s not a perfect ending—but it’s full of grace. David looks back not with pride, but with gratitude. He knows it was God who sustained him, rescued him, and gave him strength to keep going.
These chapters remind us that finishing well isn’t about having a spotless record—it’s about clinging to the faithfulness of God. Even after deep failure, David trusted in the mercy of the Lord.
His life points us forward to Jesus—the true King who never failed, and whose grace is enough to help us run our race to the very end.
